fusedeck

Release Notes October 26, 2022

We have been working like crazy to give you an entirely new fusedeck feeling. Test after test, release after release, we have been working towards this release. What have we been up to? We are happy to explain.

Plugins

If you use fusedeck a lot, you have surely noticed it. A new menu item is now visible in the interface. “Plugins”… and what does that mean exactly? Quite simply, we have created a way to develop fusedeck quickly and efficiently. Plugins take over everyday set-up tasks, but also provide entirely new features. The good thing is, in the future, it won’t just be us! Our plugins are based on an accessible SDK. That means, soon everyone will be able to write their own plugins in fusedeck. To get the SDK up to speed for you, we have written the first plugins right away.

With this first release the following plugins will be added to our store:

  • fusedeck essentials. A plugin that does a first basic setup for newbies and creates the most important triggers and variables.
  • fusedeck event pixel for : facebook, adform, taboola & gtag. For facebook the connection to the conversion API (Server 2 Server) is also enabled. If you want to know more about Server 2 Server, feel free to contact us.
  • fusedeck loading times measures how fast your page loads at the client. So you can see how long a user has to wait for the page to load under real conditions.
  • fusedeck tracking event. With this plugin it is possible to send events from one property to another. Even across servers.
  • fusedeck tracking type switch. Do you need to attach fusedeck to an existing consent banner setup? No problem, with the tracking type switcher. So you can easily change the tracking type between cookieless and cookie. Of course, this can also be done at runtime. So every setup becomes GDPR compliant in no time.
  • We could continue this list for a long time, but we are not quite there yet. Let us surprise you with what is still to come.

Multi-domain support (owned-stack)

Our owned-stack servers now support multi-domains. This means you are no longer bound to one tracking domain, but can use as many tracking domains as you like.

Boolean variables

Now variables can be defined as boolean in the template and in the SDK. Boolean variables are displayed in the form of a checkbox.

Report cache

Now the user is warned if a report is modified in a way that the cache has to be rebuilt. This is especially useful when a report has been saved as long-term storage. This ensures that data that has been stored for a period longer than the raw data is not accidentally lost.
