fusedeck

Release Notes September 22, 2022

Long term storage (beta)

Reports can now be stored in fusedeck for a longer period of time. This duration goes beyond the usual retention time of 13/25 months. Thanks to this, data can be stored for long term use at no additional cost (prices subject to change). This feature must be activated for each report. If it is activated, the report is stored in its current form in the long-term storage. The report can now no longer be changed without losing the data. If a change is necessary and the data is still available in RAW format (retention time), it will be newly loaded into the report.

Group by time naming

The grouping “Group by time” can now be renamed. If no name is defined, it remains with the standard “day/week/hour” format. Very handy if the report has to be used for an API.

Session time on page view / event

For page views and events, the values “Active session run time” & “Total session run time” are now available. These indicate the exact time within a session at which the event or page view was fired. This makes it easy to see how long it took for someone to place an order or visit a specific page.

Standard reports overwrite

Standard reports on owned stacks can no longer be overwritten by mistake. If this should happen, fusedeck will make sure that this is intentional by requiring additional confirmation.

fdAdId & fdSiteId

To get the right tracking parameters even faster, we added our tracking parameters separately in the “Campaigns” section. As a reminder, fusedeck uses its own tracking parameters with a database driven approach. This makes it easier to store more details related to a campaign, but also ensures that no typos, as known from UTMs, mess up the reports. Of course, these new parameters are also exported in Excel.
