Consent management

fusedeck® can be used to create a GDPR compliant set up and can reliably measure your traffic with its cookieless tracking technology and session-based data collection. However, consent may be required in some cases. fusedeck® thus ensures with its own consent management platform (CMP) that global data protection requirements such as CCPA, LGPD, the Swiss Data Protection Act or the upcoming ePrivacy Regulation are satisfied.

As a result, personal data and cookies are only collected and stored with consent. The CMP by fusedeck® works seamlessly with the integrated tag manager and audience manager, but is also completely compatible with tag management and CMP solutions from other providers. At the same time, the cookieless technology enables valuable insights about your traffic and activates your target group based on quality KPIs.

Setup without extra effort

The consent management platform by fusedeck® is already integrated in the container and therefore only requires minimal integration work. Once activated, the CMP is able to block all cookies before consent is given.

The layout and design of the consent banner can be freely adjusted. What’s more, the fusedeck® CMP automatically recognizes whether consent, auto consent, soft opt-in or hard opt-out need to be used depending on the country and data protection requirements. All settings can also be overwritten and individually configured if desired.

The tracking vendors and category are freely configurable and can control tag management as a “turnstile” system.

Late consent for more performance

fusedeck® is able to obtain consent immediately or at the right time along the session journey. Thanks to the integrated quality scoring of fusedeck®, the relevant target group is recognized in compliance with data protection requirements and then asked for their consent. Interested users are therefore no longer bothered by a cookie banner straight away on the landing page, which can otherwise lead to an increase in the bounce rate of up to 40%. This approach delivers a positive side effect that you only save high-quality users in your audience, producing an efficiency increase in retargeting.

External consent management platforms

Our technology can be controlled by external consent management platforms such as Usercentrics, Cookiebot, OneTrust or Tealium, in order to tell fusedeck® which vendors may be loaded and which tracking type (cookieless or with cookies) may be used.

If necessary, consent management can be handled entirely by fusedeck® to increase performance and efficiency in managing your consent stack.

Global data protection compliance

Depending on the country, different data protection rules apply which fusedeck® can respond to with its environment features, in order to switch between suitable consent banners and tracking technologies. This can make tracking not only compliant with data protection requirements, but also cost-effective and economical in the use of data.

Different environments are preconfigured, such as the data protection requirements of the GDPR (EU and the UK), APPI (Japan), PIPA (South Korea), PDPA (Thailand), CDPL (Chile), PDPB (India), POPIA (South Africa), LGPD (Brazil), and CCPA (USA).

Different tracking technologies

The fusedeck® consent management platform can track in compliance with data protection rules without consent, using a number of tracking types such as session tracking. If a user provides their consent, the session data can be seamlessly combined with full cookie tracking, allowing their data to be analyzed holistically.

Besides the automatic management of tracking types (cookies, sessions, and cookieless users), the fusedeck® CMP or external consent managers can adjust the tracking type in real time.

Fully integrated with the tag manager

The fusedeck® tag manager can also obtain consent granularly at the vendor level, in addition to category-based consent (technically required cookies, analytics, and advertising), and send them directly to proprietary tag management. This ensures that only those events or third-party providers are involved for which user consent has been provided.

Likewise, the fusedeck® CMP is compatible with all common tag management systems such as Google Tag Manager or Tealium, in order to communicate which third-party providers (e.g. Facebook Ads or Criteo Retargeting) may be triggered in compliance with data protection.
